The SAP Programmer contributes to the strategic objectives of the IT Division as a developer. This position is responsible for design, development, support and maintenance of the organization's SAP applications. The position calls for this individual to work closely with cross-functional resources to ensure proper solution design and integrity of SAP modules. The SAP Programmer will also apply proven communication, analytical, technical and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of SAP in the company. This position is located in Medford, Oregon.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Determine business requirements, analyze and design application systems.
· Design and write application programs.
· Prepare all required documentation for the portion of work assigned and provide reporting to management as required.
· Provide technical assistance and problem resolution to clients for assigned applications.
· Troubleshoot application and technical issues.
· Plan, develop and conduct unit, string and systems assurance tests.
· Off-hour, on-call responsibilities will be required as needed to support business needs and/or project requirements.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
· Four-year college degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent experience.
· Development experience in SAP ABAP/ABAP Object or another Object Oriented language.
· Intermediate knowledge of web technologies such as XML, Web Services and JSON a plus.
· Experience debugging and unit testing applications.
· System knowledge of SAP ECC and SCM or other large ERP system a plus.
· Proficient in the writing and understanding of functional and technical specifications.
· Experience designing and developing systems including writing and modifying programs, unit testing and systems analysis.
· Proven ability to communicate effectively, work well with others, use productive work methods, exercise sound judgment and display initiative and innovation on the job.
